Hands down the best DJ service in the DMV area! They will make all your wishes come true and your guests will be dancing the night away! Jordan is my favorite DJ ever - he plays all the jams. He will work with you to make sure all your favs get played and he'll avoid what you don't like. All the DJs here are collaborative and fun. You can't go wrong. Worth every penny!

Brian freaking killed it! The night was filled with dancing. It was one great song after another and I never left the dance floor. I have been to many weddings and the DJ makes or breaks the reception. Brian blew it out of the water. 11/10 recommend him for any and all events. Maryland's DJ was super easy to work with. They setup a call with us to determine our style and then another meeting with a DJ who fit is best. We worked with DJ Brian. Brian was great! He got everyone up and dancing and really hit the vibe. They also offer an extremely user friendly website to help the couple plan their songs from ceremony into the reception. Highly recommend!!! Steve was an amazing DJ!! We had so many compliments afterwards telling us how much fun everyone had and how the DJ was perfect! Once the music started- so did the dancing and that never stopped. I am bias since it was my wedding but I haven't been to another wedding where the dance floor was packed the whole entire time! Steve listened to all of our needs and made sure the music line-up was flawless!

Harvey was amazing throughout our whole wedding process! He made us feel comfortable and helped keep us calm throughout the months leading up to the wedding and didn't even seem concerned when we hadn't finalized our songs the week before our wedding. The music throughout the entire day was amazing and we cannot recommend Harvey/Maryland's DJ enough! We also got the photobooth, which ran smoothly all night and had no issues. Steve H. & everyone at Maryland DJ was an absolute pleasure and incredible to work with. Steve really took his time to understand the aesthetic and mood we wanted to Capture for our wedding day. The photo booth they offered was completely worth it! These were the first photos we got back and we love looking at them! At the end of the night my wedding guests were chanting for an encore. Additional, one of my family members contacted MD DJ to secretly purchase dancing on a cloud for us. MD DJ really delivered to make our night magical!

I really don’t even know where to start. We have not stopped receiving messages from friends and family about how much of a blast they had. Jordan was absolutely incredible, his demo meetings were some of the most helpful we had throughout this season whole process, his online portal was such a great tool to have while planning. For us, the most important thing at our wedding was that our guests had an amazing time. We knew that music would be a key piece of this, drawing out or enhancing a different mood for every phase of the celebration. We needed our ceremony to feel serious but not too serious; our cocktail hour and dinner to feel laid back but classy; and our reception to feel like a college dance party for every generation of former college students. That's a hard balance to strike, but Jordan was able to hit every note flawlessly. He was one of those rare DJs who not only listened to our requests but also read the room at every moment to create the perfect blend of music that could just fade into the background of the experience. And wow, what an experience it was. We can't recommend Jordan enough. Great guy, super talented DJ.

Jordan (the owner of Maryland’s DJ) is great and was professional and enthusiastic during the booking process. He even invited us to his studio to hear him spin so we would know for sure if it was a good fit. He was a total pro and really understood our music preferences. Unfortunately, Jordan ended up not being able to DJ our wedding due to covid related wedding rescheduling. While we totally understand that things pop up, we weren’t blown away by the backup option, Brian. Brian played the songs we requested and followed our timeline, but wasn’t a great emcee. He was pretty soft-spoken and wasn’t as energetic as we had hoped. The speakers had noticeable feedback about 6 times throughout the night - especially during our toasts/speeches which was unfortunate. Brian wasn’t very assertive so this had an impact on the overall coordination throughout the night for the speeches, group photo, etc. All in all, we had a pretty good experience, but would probably not book Brian again if we had the option.

I was looking for the best of the best. And I got it. DJ Steve was impeccable! He followed out timeline exactly how I was hoping he would. But also he gave me the option to adjust it if I wanted to. He held down the fort because the other vendors were not as on top-of-things. Pretty solid! We worked with Jordan for our wedding and my legs are still sore from never having left the dance floor. Jordan was involved in every stage of our planning process and made himself readily available for any questions, concerns, or random additions. He was even prepared for changes we needed to make on the fly, day of during the celebration. He read the room throughout the night and kept the dance floor packed and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect night; due in large part to Jordan and his team. If you need a DJ for an event you have coming up, there is really only one option in Maryland's DJ. The name of the company is fitting because they are by far "THE" Maryland's DJ and not just "A" DJ in Maryland

We hired Steve to provide music and entertainment for our reception and ensuing dance party. I would say that working with Steve, and his performance at the reception, was the absolute highlight of our entire wedding. From our first conversation, I could tell that Steve was fully on board with our plan to have a progressive/electro house dance party. We provided some songs as inspiration, and he gave us a live demo at his office, demonstrating his mixing style as well as other songs he’d found to match our taste. He accommodated my mom’s insistence on using a medley of Prince songs for the mother/son dance, and he transitioned from that into his DJ set absolutely flawlessly. I will never forget standing in the middle of the dance floor with my now-wife, surrounded by our friends, as the final guitar solo of “Let’s Go Crazy” played out, ending with Steve announcing “Your dance floor is now open!”, immediately followed by the drop of “Feel So Close” (Calvin Harris). People went nuts and it was awesome. Additionally, Steve is just an all around fun guy to talk to and work with. He gets my highest recommendation.

Steve Hartka from Maryland's DJ dj'ed our wedding at The Hotel at UMD and it was a huge success! The process started with a video call where he could demonstrate his dj style which was very cool. From there we were able to make a 'must play,' 'would like played,' and 'don't play' list to completely customize our playlist. We let Steve take it from there and he had our guests dancing all night long. We had UMD's mascot Testudo show up and Steve was happy to announce on cue and play the fight song. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dj for any event!

Immediately had no worries on our wedding as everyone was vibing the whole night! Brian was our DJ and he knew the perfect moments to mix songs. We listed a couple songs to play, but Brian got the gist of what we wanted and it was a just a blast. There was never a wasted moment and never a feeling that a song had been cut short either. College friends, my parents friends, cousins, and my 90+ grandmother all felt the same way. It was not easy to entertain so many so long, but just an awesome feeling when it happens. We opted for the photo booth that sent photos directly to your phone which was such a cool thing to have, and we also got uplighting to add a little more atmosphere to our venue and dance floor. Lastly, my wife and I STILL were deciding on some songs two days out (!!!) and never once felt pressured into making choices, and were assured that everything would be great, and then we lived happily ever after. Working with Maryland’s DJ was a breeze from the start. Jordan was very informative and laid out all the information for us from our first initial call. We also had a Zoom meeting with Jordan and our DJ for the wedding - Steve, who also helped answer more questions. The portal they use is also convenient and helped us really think about all the details and music we wanted for our wedding, and it was relatively easy to use. Steve also checked back with us a few weeks before the wedding and we ran through everything with him, helping us feel more comfortable. On the day of the wedding, Steve and his assistant ran the wedding and worked with my other vendors to keep the day moving and things on time. He played great music and kept the dance floor packed and I could not have had a better experience! I highly recommend Maryland’s DJ!!

The wedding was AMAZING! Brian did a phenomenal job picking songs off the must play list that kept people dancing. We got great feedback on the song choices and he clearly listened to us when we were discussing volume/ the Horah. Tyler and I were worried about music too loud; Brian did a wonderful job with that. On the dance floor, we could hear everything fine and by the tables we could talk at a good level! Moreover, for the Horah we asked for the moms/ dads to be lifted together and he did that, too. No complaints! During the ceremony and introductions he played all the correct songs, too! :D In conclusion, we were thrilled with the services and glad I asked my friend for her DJ company from her wedding in September of 2023. Jordan was absolutely THE BEST DJ! Periodt. Our dancefloor was packed for 4+ hours because of Jordan. The way he weaved in our "must play" songs into other songs and remixes that fit the vibe of the room was truly masterful. To keep that many people going for that long was really awesome. Even during the cocktail hour and dinner, the music he selected was perfect. So many people came up to us both during and after the ceremony to ask "where do I find that song," because the music was so perfectly us they assumed we had made a playlist. But no, it was all Jordan. He took the time to actually get to know us before the ceremony, to pick up on exactly what we liked (and just as importantly disliked) so that the music would be perfect. Mike Q DJ-ed our wedding and did a fantastic job. He was flexible and worked with us on last-minute changes with outstanding professionalism. We had a variety of song choices, and he mixed them expertly. Whenever he played a deep cut that our friends enjoyed, he followed it up with a crowdpleaser to keep everyone on the dance floor. We also told him a "passcode" required to make song requests, and he announced that to the reception guests. We didn't intend that, but it actually made for a fun game. Our guests were interested in the passcode idea and thus made thoughtful song requests throughout the night. I'd recommend Mike Q to any couple looking for a high-energy reception.

Our wedding reception with Ryan as our DJ was absolutely perfect. He was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, and communicative with us in the weeks leading up to the event, he was thorough in his timeline and realistic about possible time restrictions for our unique requests, and he was committed to correctly presenting introductions, toasts, etc. Besides his competent organization and professionalism, where Ryan truly impressed us was the night's playlist itself. We had submitted a large library of songs we wanted to hear and discussed our particular tastes with him, and his ability to take those wishes and translate them into a dance party was unparalleled. He hit all of our most important notes (I firmly believe that every wedding needs "Tubthumping") and impressed a multi-generational guest list with selections from the 70s and 80s, seamlessly transitioning to modern hits. He consistently responded to the crowd's energy and had us dancing our asses off from the moment the dance party started to the very end of the night. Our guests are still raving about some of his inventive mixes (Ask him about his mashup of "Feel Good Inc." and "Toxic", or his Backstreet Boys medley intercut with "Turn Down For What). Ryan surpassed all of our expectations and was integral to what was easily the best night of our lives.

Jordan is a close friend of my husband Andy's. Andy is a DJ himself and giving up this role that he takes pride in was hard for him. I don't think we could have felt more comfortable leaving our special day in anyone else's hands. Our dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night. We were between two different vendors for our wedding and I couldn’t be more thankful to have committed to Mike Q and Marylands DJ! We had only two short meetings because Mike was on the same wave length as us the moment we had our consult with him. Mike was easy going, reassuring, organized, and so much fun. He made our Polish American wedding feel like an absolute dream and had our entire family on the dance floor in seconds. He also knew when to reel everyone in to have the heartfelt serious moments. Our DJ (Thiery) was outstanding. Every communication we had leading up to the wedding was professional but also personal. He was flexible about which portions of the wedding we defined completely and which portions he would run autonomously based on our tastes (collected through our phone conversations and the songs we submitted as must-play or by request). He kept people engaged and having fun all night! If you can book Thiery, absolutely do so!! By contrast, our dealings with Jordan (owner of Maryland’s DJ) were terrible. He did not show up to a scheduled call on 12/20. The DJ we were speaking to at that point (Harvey) reached out to Jordan during that call, and he said he wasn’t able to join but would reach out to us within the week. He never did. But the biggest issue was way our contract was handled. In January, Jordan sent us a contract with a total cost of $3200. We signed the contract and were required to pay 50% upfront, so we immediately sent a check for $1600. The remainder was due 30 days before the wedding, so we again paid $1600 on that date. Several days later, Jordan emailed and said we hadn’t paid our full bill and that we owed $1200. We replied with our contract, showing an agreed price of $3200 and evidence of two payments totaling $3200. Jordan wrote back and claimed that he’d made a mistake in the contract and that it should have been $1200 higher in order to get the photo booth option we’d discussed and which was promised in our contract. We asked him multiple times to uphold his end of the signed contract, and he refused. If he’d contacted us immediately in January and said, “This payment is not 50% of the total,” we would have had time to consider whether we would accept a contract at $4400. Because Jordan waited until just a few weeks before our wedding, we had no choice but to keep our contract for the DJ but get a photo booth from another vendor. He offered an all-digital photo booth (basically an iPad on wheels) which did not come close to the experience we wanted to provide our guests, nor was it at all close to the service we’d agreed in the contract. I’m glad we didn’t use the inferior option, because we and our guests both had a blast with the full photo booth we procured elsewhere and especially love the printed photo strips. (Side note: the other vendor charged us $600 for what Jordan was trying to charge us $1200 for - so Jordan’s pricing was never reasonable in any way!) Overall, I am shocked that a vendor would not honor a signed contract that they had, themselves, drafted. It left me feeling very distrustful of Jordan and his company. I would absolutely hire Thiery again as a DJ, but only if I could book him directly or through another company. I would never do business again with Jordan or Maryland’s DJ.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Steve from Maryland's DJ for our wedding. Steve was great to work with from the get-go: he was communicative, responsive, and super easy to get along with. Our music taste is very particular and Steve really "got" us. He even offered to spin vinyl at our party, which we were super excited about. On the day of the event, Steve was not only professional but also made our small (covid-sized) party a blast. His music choice and timing was perfect and he kept the party going until the end of the night. Many of our friends commented that this was the best wedding music they've ever heard. Our DJ was Neil and we couldn't have had a greater time with him. Somehow, he was able to balance my love for 80s music with my wife's modern pop. Needless to say, the music for the night was amazing. Neil was also a consummate professional when it came to coordinating all of the music and announcements according to our wedding timeline. Jordan was absolutely THE BEST DJ! Periodt. Our dancefloor was packed for 4+ hours because of Jordan. The way he weaved in our "must play" songs into other songs and remixes that fit the vibe of the room was truly masterful. To keep that many people going for that long was really awesome. Even during the cocktail hour and dinner, the music he selected was perfect. So many people came up to us both during and after the ceremony to ask "where do I find that song," because the music was so perfectly us they assumed we had made a playlist. But no, it was all Jordan. He took the time to actually get to know us before the ceremony, to pick up on exactly what we liked (and just as importantly disliked) so that the music would be perfect. Also, can't emphasize how impressed we were with the uplighting he provided, which really added an extra element to the room. The photobooth was also amazing. Would 100% recommend Jordan!!

DJ Neil Feldman was an amazing DJ! We had multiple video calls with him to square everything away for the wedding schedule. He was extremely professional and responsive before and during the wedding. I loved that DJ Neil didn’t play just a simple sound track of “Must Play” songs. He took our style of music and the vibe of the wedding and played everything that fit and kept people on the dance floor. He even took 1 of our favorite songs and mashed it with another one…my wife and I both looked at each other and smiled as soon as we realized the 2 songs and how well they flowed together. I would hands down recommend MD DJ’s to anyone getting married that wants to have a good time and dance the night away.

He had awesome transitions and was really flexible with the weather moving the wedding inside and starting later than anticipated. We decided to go with Maryland DJ after having a fantastic introductory call with the owner Jordan Solender. We booked DJ Mike Q for our wedding date and had access to easy planning tools to where we could add different "must play" and "do not play" songs. Sadly Mike Q ended up getting covid the Friday before the wedding, but Maryland DJ also always has an unscheduled DJ on staff in case something comes up and DJ Neil was able to fill in beautifully! He made the dance floor come alive, and we received so much praise from guests about the DJ's song choices. It was hands down the best dance floor I've seen at a wedding, and Maryland DJ was a major part in making that happen. Would definitely recommend Maryland DJ and DJ Neil!

Jordan will not only play the tunes for your day, but he will become your friend, step in on day of duties, make sure everything runs smoothly and organized, sweep any wedding day stress away, keep your drinks full, and of course the dance floor packed. As our wedding night was coming to a close and the bus was ready to take the first trip back to the hotel, but our guests literally refused because the dance floor was too much fun!!!
