Had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Brian and Maryland's DJ! They have several DJ's in their company which I appreciated, the first meeting was seeing what kind of music we wanted played and what the vibes of the day we were looking for. We spoke with Andrew and he helped us figure out who would be the best match for us and he nailed it with us having DJ Brian! Everyone at the wedding said they had so much fun and everyone was dancing the night away. I think he did a great job of taking requests and playing what we wanted. They have a whole form and website to help layout the day and potential music suggestions which was incredibly helpful!! I do not have one single negative comment about them. I am so thankful that he was able to keep everyone dancing and giving the range of music everyone wanted and could relate to. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a DJ!!

What Jordan did for our wedding day is speechless! From day one he gave us the feeling that he was dedicated to making our day the best day we could ever imagine. It was crazy how after a simple 5 minute phone call he was able put together a demo session that had us geeked for our special day! Jordan is more than just a DJ, he helped us find the best photographer a couple could ask for, he added touches to our wedding we never would have thought of on our own, he brought a large group of people from all over the world to one dance floor for what felt like the best dance party ever. We had an amazing experience with our DJ Mike Q. Before we even chose to hire Maryland's DJ, he invited us out to see him perform which we HIGHLY recommend to any couple looking for a DJ. We got to see his style and read the energy in the room. Our wedding reception could not have gone any smoother. He checked in with us before and after big moments and made sure we were comfortable at all times (including being down to cut some dances short if needed). We really appreciated this because being in front of hundreds of people can be a LOT. His MC skills are top tier and the dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG! He played all of our special requests and built off the list we gave him perfectly, even taking requests from our guests. He started amping up the energy during dinner so by the time the dance floor opened everyone was ready to party. Best Dance Floor Ever!
We decided to go with Maryland DJ after having a fantastic introductory call with the owner Jordan Solender. We booked DJ Mike Q for our wedding date and had access to easy planning tools to where we could add different "must play" and "do not play" songs. Sadly Mike Q ended up getting covid the Friday before the wedding, but Maryland DJ also always has an unscheduled DJ on staff in case something comes up and DJ Neil was able to fill in beautifully! He made the dance floor come alive, and we received so much praise from guests about the DJ's song choices. It was hands down the best dance floor I've seen at a wedding, and Maryland DJ was a major part in making that happen. Would definitely recommend Maryland DJ and DJ Neil!

We booked several things with Jordan. Uplighting, floor lights, a photobooth and, of course, the DJ. He worked perfectly with our venue (Ritz Carlton-Tysons) in getting the mood set, the fun started and had nothing but compliments from every one of our guests about the consistently good music. Everyone loved the photo booth and we got a copy of everything after, so we could enjoy those moments we missed. Highly recommend. Oh, he also was able to get us a last minute drapes guy to help line the ballroom!

Awesome DJ experience from beginning to end. When considering all the different vendors for our wedding, we knew to have a great DJ was important to us. We inquired with quite a few but when we met Jordan, the decision was easy. The entire process was smooth and made us less stressed for our big day. We loved the demo provided before we signed the contract as well as the online portal that made it easy to provide our preferences. Jordan provided great input to help us decide which songs we wanted and when. He helped us figure out the entire flow of the wedding. We also got our lighting from Jordan and it looked great and we were able to see the color and options ahead of time. Working with Maryland’s DJ was an absolutely amazing experience throughout the course of our wedding planning journey. From the minute that we first contacted them, Jordan and Mike were extremely professional, attentive, and best of all- FUN! Their online portal was a great tool, allowing us to quickly and easily plan everything from song lists to lighting schemes for our wedding ceremony and reception. During the course of the wedding evening, DJ Mike did a fantastic job of making announcements to keep the party flowing and playing songs that kept feet on the dance floor. We received many compliments regarding the mix of lighting and music that DJ Mike provided throughout the night, and they were absolutely correct. Our venue (Baltimore Museum of Art) included large rooms with high ceilings, but Mike did a fantastic job of lighting them and controlling the acoustics. We can’t say enough good things about Maryland’s DJ, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great DJ in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area!

We worked with Mike through Maryland Djs and he was really great throughout the entire planning process. Mike was recommended to us by a friend who had nothing but great things to say about him! I thought Mike did an excellent job at our wedding overall but, there was a bit of a hiccup during a very special song that I am still pretty disappointed about. He was very apologetic after that fact so that’s really all I can ask for. I did get some feedback from several guests and they mentioned that the music was relatively low and they felt like the songs were changing at the good parts. I also felt like the music was pretty low and I know my husband and I could barely hear the music during our walk in at reception. Music was the only form of entertainment we had at the wedding so I was a little disappointed that so many of our guests made comments after. I’m happy with how the reception was but, I do think it could have been better. However, I don’t think this is necessarily a reflection on Mike overall and I do think he’s a great choice for any upcoming events. I would just be clear about the things I mentioned above before your event to ensure it is a bit smoother than ours.

Surpassed our highest expecations!
Our wedding reception with Ryan as our DJ was absolutely perfect. He was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, and communicative with us in the weeks leading up to the event, he was thorough in his timeline and realistic about possible time restrictions for our unique requests, and he was committed to correctly presenting introductions, toasts, etc. Besides his competent organization and professionalism, where Ryan truly impressed us was the night's playlist itself. We had submitted a large library of songs we wanted to hear and discussed our particular tastes with him, and his ability to take those wishes and translate them into a dance party was unparalleled. He hit all of our most important notes (I firmly believe that every wedding needs "Tubthumping") and impressed a multi-generational guest list with selections from the 70s and 80s, seamlessly transitioning to modern hits. He consistently responded to the crowd's energy and had us dancing our asses off from the moment the dance party started to the very end of the night. Our guests are still raving about some of his inventive mixes (Ask him about his mashup of "Feel Good Inc." and "Toxic", or his Backstreet Boys medley intercut with "Turn Down For What"). Ryan surpassed all of our expectations and was integral to what was easily the best night of our lives.

We had some issues with USPS and check delivery/cashing, but they quickly worked out a solution with us as soon as issues were discovered. From the interview and booking experience early on, to the online portal and various check in meetings, we were confident Maryland's DJ would do a great job. And on the day of the wedding, they nailed it. Jordan was such an amazing DJ for our wedding day! He made sure to meet with us at least once prior to the wedding, and gave us an in-person demonstration of his talent. He asked that both my husband and I tell him a few songs or genre of music that we liked, and then he was able to easily mix this music together into songs that flowed beautifully. On our wedding day he eased my nerves by assisting with the flow of the ceremony and the reception. His step-by-step online portal allows you to choose every detail in order to ensure smooth transitions and lots of dancing on your special day. Everyone was up and dancing until the minute they kicked us out of the venue! We can't thank Jordan enough!!!

Harvey was amazing! 10/10. He was extremely prepared and could read the vibe of the event. We had a long playlist with many songs that were slow, so he played some of the slower songs during dinner and saved the more upbeat songs for dancing. He also respected our wishes about a quiet exit, which worked out because we needed to leave 15 minutes early. And I heard from guests that he kept the party going! The speakers directing music to the dance floor were great so the people with hearing problems could still hear each other at the tables. His attitude was great! He even switched from a polo to a suit when he saw most of our guests came in suits. His announcements didn’t interrupt the flow of music. Overall, he knew what we wanted better than we did!

He is literally a walking encyclopedia of music information, and he was able to mesh all of our interests (funk, 80-90s R&B, contemporary pop, etc.) into one seamless night that had the entire dance floor packed all night long. We hired Steve to provide music and entertainment for our reception and ensuing dance party. I would say that working with Steve, and his performance at the reception, was the absolute highlight of our entire wedding. From our first conversation, I could tell that Steve was fully on board with our plan to have a progressive/electro house dance party. We provided some songs as inspiration, and he gave us a live demo at his office, demonstrating his mixing style as well as other songs he’d found to match our taste. He accommodated my mom’s insistence on using a medley of Prince songs for the mother/son dance, and he transitioned from that into his DJ set absolutely flawlessly. I will never forget standing in the middle of the dance floor with my now-wife, surrounded by our friends, as the final guitar solo of “Let’s Go Crazy” played out, ending with Steve announcing “Your dance floor is now open!”, immediately followed by the drop of “Feel So Close” (Calvin Harris). People went nuts and it was awesome. Additionally, Steve is just an all around fun guy to talk to and work with. He gets my highest recommendation.

They worked with us to make the planning very simple and straight forward. They were super helpful with recommendations for prelude and cocktail hour music. Ross Hyatt DJ'd our wedding. Maryland's DJ promised us an amazing experience and Ross DELIVERED! From the start, the process of establishing with their team was easy despite us being out of state. Each member of the team was kind, helpful, and prompt. Once we were paired with Ross as our assigned DJ, most of our communication/collaboration was through him. He was always responsive, kind, and professional regardless of day of the week or time of day. I am so thankful to Steve and his team at Maryland's DJ for absolutely bringing the party!! There are so many details that need the brides attention but he knew exactly what to do and totally understood what we were going for. His calls where detailed and helpful and professional which is more than I can say for some other vendors. I loved my wedding and spent the whole evening on a PACKED dance floor because of this man. Great Dance Experience
DJ Mike Q was able to take a hodge podge assortment of genres and song recommendations and mix them so there was a little bit for everyone. I cant tell you how many weddings we have been to where the same classic songs are played one after the other, but DJ Mike was able to feel the vibe of the crowd and transition without anyone ever leaving the dance floor!

Words cannot express what it was like to have Jordan as the DJ at our wedding. If it was not for Jordan the entire ceremony and reception would have fallen apart. This was an unexpected part of his job. My wedding coordinator lacked coordinating and he took over. The entire day/night was stress free and went perfectly. He hinted at when certain things should occur and prepared my husband and I at a meeting before the wedding. There is so much that goes into the music for the ceremony and reception and without Jordan we would have been lost. I did not know Jordan before I booked him as our DJ, but he has become a friend. He was supportive, friendly, and made the environment uplifting. I have never seen so many people dance and celebrate like they did on the night of our wedding. Jordan was the absolute best vendor we had at our wedding. He played every kind of music. He played relaxing soft rock/pop/country during the cocktail hour and dinner. THEN he played tons of dance music from stations like 104.3 and 106.5. The reception was high energy! It was an appropriate mix of music the entire night. The sound quality was great and he was not a corny DJ like they mention to beware of in bridal magazines. He didn't tell jokes or steal the attention. He was down to Earth and everyone loved him. All 150 people have complimented my husband and me. They say that they have never been to a more beautiful and fun filled wedding. We owe the success of the evening to Jordan! And on the day of the wedding, they nailed it. This company was fantastic from day one, they set up a couple different virtual meetings with my wife and I and we just got a great feeling from them from the start. They are great people to work with. After hearing our music taste, they set us up with DJ Steve Hartka for our wedding and he was AMAZING. We got to make a list of "must play" songs, as well as "do NOT play" songs, and Steve took our music vibes and applied it to the rest of his playlist. We worked with Maryland’s DJ for our wedding and they are top notch. From our initial discussion, our DJ took the time to explain the process, listened to our vision, and laid out a plan to execute the night. Maryland’s DJ utilizes an easy to follow online planner that clearly lays the details, timeline, and music preferences. In our case, the team unfortunately had a late breaking emergency with our DJ a few weeks prior to the wedding; however, Maryland’s DJ was all over it. The team immediately informed us, laid out a gameplan, and linked us up with the phenomenal team of Laz and John. Any concerns over the late change immediately went away when we spoke with them. They are the utmost professional, experienced, and flat out friendliest individuals you could work with. We had a very distinct vision bordering on the darker/moody side vs a traditional wedding. Laz and John took the time to get to know us, listened to our vision, laid out what would work best, and it all showed on the wedding night. They hit the nail on the head, ensured we had the special moments we were hoping for, and had a blast with us during it all. Laz is engaging, a talented artist, and hip to hip with the other vendors to ensure a flawless night. We had Harvey from Marylands DJ and I could not recommend him enough. My wife and I are terrible planners and major procrastinators but Harvey kept us focused without making us feel pressured. Jordan does amazing work! He knew when the time was to play certain songs and once the party started it never stopped! The way he has his program set up makes it so easy to customize and to keep track of everything that’s going by having everything detailed down to the smallest thing. Brian Doane was our DJ for our November wedding at Chesapeake Bay Foundation. In my opinion this venue can be one of the more difficult ones to navigate for music because there are many location possibilities for the ceremony to take place. Brian was so easy going and awesome to work with from start to finish. We had some music requests but he did a great job feeling out the crowd and kept the party moving all night! I don’t think our dance floor was empty the whole reception! He is a great friend and awesome DJ. I would recommend him for any event!

If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding that will keep people on the dance floor all night, Jordan is your guy! When we first met with Jordan he spent a lot of time with us to help get to know us and what we were looking for, for our wedding. He then did a demo for us, and we were sold. The day of the wedding made me even more happy to have booked Jordan. Not only did Jordan get our reception started, he kept it going all night long. Our guests were literally on the dance floor the entire night long and having a blast! Throughout the reception Jordan checked on us multiple times to make sure we were doing okay and see if we needed anything. Everytime we see guests from our wedding they still rave about Jordan and how much fun they had at our reception. If we were to do our wedding all over again, we would book Jordan in a heartbeat.

We had an amazing experience with Maryland's DJ! John and Laz did a great job of keeping the momentum going and the party didn't lose energy once which was important to us. We have gotten SO many compliments from guests about the DJing, everyone loved them and had a fantastic time. We also were so pleased with the photo booth (which we initially considered not getting), our guests really loved it and the photos were very high-quality -- as the bride I actually wish I took more! Awesome Night With Maryland's DJ
Maryland's DJ was excellent throughout the entire wedding process. They were flexible and helped us with our every need. Our wedding day ran smoothly from the ceremony until the party ended. Our DJ Jesse was extremely prepared for all the chaos that was thrown at him as we added speeches and certain songs the day of the wedding. He kept the party rocking the whole time and was excellent. Our experience with Maryland’s DJ was incredible from the beginning! We met with a rep virtually who led us through an extensive presentation of all they had to offer. He asked us about our vibe and matched us with one of their DJs accordingly. Then we met with our DJ Jamaal. They have an awesome portal where you add in all of your music requests, even when to fade out, etc. We had a meeting with Jamaal a month out and he was very flexible with all of our last minute changes. We 100% recommend Maryland’s DJ for anyone looking for a fun, professional, company to work with.

The very best! My now-husband and I are huge music fans. Finding the right wedding DJ was really important to us, and once we spoke to Steve and Jordan from Maryland's DJ, we knew our search was over. Steve was so incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. Jordan is AWESOME! We had 185 people at our wedding and he handled the crowd with ease. He kept the intros/ and beginning dances on scheduled and got the dance floor rolling right on time. Once we opened the dance floor he had the whole party dancing all night from teenagers to grandparents (even my 82 year old grandma was on the floor dancing to everything from Michael Buble to David Guetta). He played all of the music we requested and added mashup versions to others that were great. We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and even offered to remix a few songs for us.
