Choosing a good DJ for your wedding is so important! They’re the ones that help keep the party going and on our wedding night Jordan did a fantastic job of doing that! He kept engaged with our crowd and made sure everybody was having a great time on the dance floor. From start to finish we had no complaints with Jordan! Thanks for a great time!

Jordan Solander of Maryland’s DJ was the best DJ ever! We booked Jordan as our DJ for our wedding at Elkridge Furnace Inn in 2020. After our first phone call, we knew immediately that we wanted to have him DJ our wedding. He is professional, has years of experience, and is so relaxed and chill, we loved his vibe! My husband and I both loved working with Jordan throughout the past 2+ years. When we decided to postpone in 2020, he was quick to make the rescheduling easy to do for our wedding in May 2021, then again in December 2021 (thanks Covid!). Picking our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing was easy with Jordan’s platform. I felt like after Jordan looked at our song choices, he knew exactly what to play all night. Jordan read the crowd and knew exactly what to play next to keep the party going. He did a fabulous job MC-ing the reception, keeping the event on-track throughout and organizing the crowd for our sparkler send off also without coming across as at all “cheesy”. Jordan carries himself with the ultimate cool laid back vibe – perfect for this stressed out bride! He also handled a special request for my daughter singing an Adele song just right– miking her, loading her background track and allowing her to run through it once before the reception began. From start to finish, they were so organized and professional, and made us feel confident we hired the perfect people for entertaining our guests on our wedding day. Steve Hartka was our DJ and he truly was incredible. He took the time to work with us leading up to the wedding to understand the vibe we were going for, help us with logistics for the ceremony, reception announcements and flow of the evening, and so much more. He had all our guests on the dance floor from the minute it opened up until the end of the night - no one wanted the night to end!! People still rave about how amazing he was months after our wedding. I couldn’t say enough good things about Maryland’s DJ. The entire process was simple. The first thing we did was a phone call with Jordan who was super sweet and really listened to what we wanted. I had known DJ Ryan Carr previously and found that he worked with Maryland’s DJ so I had asked if we could request him. Thankfully he was available and then a second call was set up for us to meet with the DJ and get a little more specific as to what we wanted. They also provide a website that you fill out timeline forms and music playlists at your pace. The website was really cool because we got to organize songs in categories such as must play, please try to play and absolutely do not play. This really helped solidify what vibes we wanted. Personally we picked maybe a total of 10 songs for this entire playlist as we wanted the DJ to do his thing. Come the wedding, DJ Ryan C and MC Rob were amazing! All of our family was dancing at some point and loved the energy they both brought. The MC was on the dance floor dancing with my cousins and really made the event such a good time. We also rented their photo booth which was an awesome addition. Everyone in the family loved this, including grandmoms! There is no doubt in my mind that I would book with them again for any event!

Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision-making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last-minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Steve was extremely personable and communicative throughout the entire process and provided his skills to accommodate special requests for song edits and musical queues during ceremony events. He was exceedingly knowledgeable on all aspects of audio engineering, noise considerations and acoustics for outdoor events, and venue-specific accommodations as he had frequented our selected location. The music selection system was an easy to use, web based application that streamlined the song selection process and provided valuable insight into music considerations, meeting time constraints, and accounting for key wedding objectives. We highly recommend Maryland’s DJ for other wedding events to any interested parties.

Having Jordan as our wedding DJ was an absolute delight. The first time we ever spoke to Jordan, it was for close to an hour as he laid out his experience as a DJ, particularly with weddings, and answered all of our questions about why we should consider hiring him. Since that initial interview, Jordan was always available to us via phone, text, or email, often responding within the hour, and was happy to answer the most trivial of questions that we had. Jordan prepared thoroughly before the wedding, sending us a detailed questionnaire, schedule, and song list to complete, to make sure every detail was exactly how we wanted it. And we met via video chat a couple weeks before the wedding just to talk everything over and iron out any remaining details. At the wedding itself, Jordan was terrific. He arrived early. He coordinated with our other vendors and the staff at the venue to set up his equipment so that we weren't disturbed. He made introductions, provided announcements, and, of course, kept the dance floor grooving for the entire night. Not to mention, the photo booth that we reserved through Maryland's DJ was a massive hit with our guests! Everything unfolded seamlessly. On top of all the things I mentioned above, Jordan is quite simply a genuine, friendly, and easygoing person. My wife and I liked talking to and interacting with him. He made our lives a little less hectic while planning a wedding in the midst of the ongoing pandemic: no small feat. Maryland's DJ has a strong recommendation from us, and a tremendous thank you, Jordan, for all your hard work!

Maryland’s DJ was INCREDIBLE. Before our event, there was really good communication from everyone on the team, including the automated reminder emails, personal emails, and our original intake. We really liked that we had so many options of DJs to choose from, too. We also really liked the portal and how we could sort through/choose songs in there. Neil, who actually worked our event, was the absolute best. He met with us several times to make sure things were just right. He matched our vibe and kept people on the dance floor throughout the night. The transitions between songs were awesome. He was a guiding presence to the guests and kept the spotlight on us. People said music was one of the best parts of our wedding. Can’t recommend Maryland’s DJ enough!

Mike Q is AMAZING! Our wedding was SO fun! His MC skills, not to mention his music choices and playlist, are absolutely perfect! He got to know us and played the perfect music, all of our family wants to steal the playlist now! Maryland's DJ absolutely nailed our wedding, no other way to describe it. DJ Mebaa stepped in to DJ our ceremony and reception as a last minute change in plans; my wife and I felt supported and in good hands the whole time as a result of Maryland's DJ's planning and attention to detail. Mebaa, with only a few days notice, played all ceremony songs perfectly, timing choruses/special parts of songs perfectly with the arrival of the wedding party/the bride as they walked down the aisle. The reception was an all out blast - Mebaa read the room perfectly, following one banger with another and keeping jaws dropped the whole night with great songs. He also surprised my wife and I with a special last song dance to a song that we adored. I would highly recommend Maryland's DJ, and Mebaa specifically. They made our special day the best it possibly could be, and know how to please their clients, no matter what circumstances arise. Aside from my wife and I, we had almost everyone we interacted with on the dance floor comment on how good the DJ music and service was - we are so glad we went with DJ over live band!

Jordan and his exceptional team truly go above and beyond from start to finish! During our pre-wedding zoom meetings, Jordan walked us through the entire process answering any and all questions that we had. The online portal was very easy to use and helpful, and most importantly Jordan was so accommodating to all of our little and last minute changes leading up to the wedding. I have never been to a wedding before where people were dancing the entire night start to finish, and am in awe that it happened at ours! Jordan is such an incredible MC, making sure guests of all ages were engaged and moving the whole night. His contagious and fun energy set the tone for the night, the people did not stop having fun! His flow and announcing was perfect, seamlessly transitioning all parts of the wedding. PRO-TIP: Get the photo booth! It was an absolute hit and there was a line to take pictures the entire night. Guests loved how the pictures were instantly sent to their phones and best of all you will get sent a copy of every picture taken to help relieve your special night! We cannot recommend Jordan and Marylands DJ enough--if you are looking for the wedding of your dreams look no further! These guys are the real deal!

You have to hire Jordan to DJ your wedding! Seriously, I couldn't recommend him more highly. I was nervous about finding the right DJ and Jordan totally put me at ease. Before the wedding, he did a private demo for us so we could hear him at work but also so he could better understand what we liked and disliked and then tailor the music for our wedding accordingly. He was very responsive and great to work with throughout the process. Our guests danced the night away and Jordan got rave reviews from our friends and family. Jordan and his team are truly amazing! We found Maryland's DJ through a wedding convention in DC, but also was referred to them through a co-worker of mine that used Maryland's DJ as their wedding DJ. Coming from a couple that is super into music, we knew it was a great recommendation! Jordan was one of the best wedding decisions that we made. When we first met him, we met in his offices where he took us through a whole experience of what our wedding music would sound like, both cocktail and reception. It was truly one of the coolest things that we got to experience during the wedding planning process and made us so excited to get a glimpse of what the big day would be like. Jordan also took us through his portal where you can submit requests and your timeline, etc. On the actual day, Jordan was totally stellar. I saw him right before we left for the ceremony and he put me at ease just by talking - he has a super calming demeanor. He truly is the best wedding DJ we could have ever asked for. So many of our guests came up to us during the wedding and afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the music and how perfect it was! Even my 76-year-old Dad can't stop commenting on how amazing our DJ was and that right there is a true phenomenon! Jordan can seriously read a room and that is a true gift. He also was our emcee and was amazing at directing people to what they should be paying attention to at any given moment. Not to mention he also referred us to who we used as our travel agency for our honeymoon - he was a true blessing! Thank you, Jordan, for making our day seriously amazing!! Best Day Ever! What Jordan did for our wedding day is speechless! From day one he gave us the feeling that he was dedicated to making our day the best day we could ever imagine. It was crazy how after a simple 5 minute phone call he was able put together a demo session that had us geeked for our special day! Jordan is more than just a DJ, he helped us find the best photographer a couple could ask for, he added touches to our wedding we never would have thought of on our own, he brought a large group of people from all over the world to one dance floor for what felt like the best dance party ever. I don’t even know where to start. Steve undoubtedly made our wedding night the amazing party that it was. My husband and I have a wide variety when it comes to taste in music. Steve found a way to play everything we wanted at the perfect time. They’re planning portal made it super easy to make sure Steve knew exactly what we wanted and didn’t want played. When it came time to dancing, I don’t think there was ever a time that the dance floor was empty. I still don’t have a voice from all the singing we did. Everyone keeps telling us that it was the most fun they’ve had in a long time and that Steve was the best DJ! He even got my dad to dance which If you knew him, you’d know is no small feat. All in all, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and the party we dreamed of- all thanks to Steve and Maryland’s DJ.

If you’re looking for a DJ who will have your guests dancing the whole night - look no further. They will have your guests on the dance floor the ENTIRE night and know how to read the room. They are super professional and we had great communication the entire planning process. The portal was a huge bonus because it really gave the DJ an idea of the songs you want played and to truly customize it to your liking. My wife and I got married March 2020 and STILL have guests talking about how fun the wedding was and the music was 100% the reason. --Tl;dr stop reading this review and go book them right now! --We used Maryland’s DJ for our wedding reception and they were the most complimented vendor of the night. --Of the DJs we interviewed Marylands DJ was by far the most professional and put together, and from the beginning we trusted their whole team. This was important because the original DJ we booked with had a conflict on our wedding day, and we weren’t concerned in the slightest when we were assigned a new DJ. --The DJ for our wedding was DJ Mike Q and he was absolutely spectacular. He emceed very well following our instructions in their planning portal. He also could improvise well, like when I asked him to give a shout out to one of our grandmothers because it was her birthday. He also picked up on a song referenced in the best man’s speech and played it later in the night. He also takes song requests! --DJ Mike Q was so good at keeping folks on the dance floor. I kid you not, it was packed all night and he mixed in a lot of songs we put on a list that gave him our dancing music vibes. I remember I was viben so hard that I forgot to drink anything between 8 and 9 pm. Maybe we’re biased, but compared to the previous few weddings we attended DJ Mike Q absolutely played the best music for dancing from beginning to end. --He also added some fun mixes into the song list that made us belly laugh a few times. --We got the photobooth and they did a great job with it. Got all the photos within a day or two of the wedding from that. That was easy to use and we were glad we got it because it gave folks a break from dancing. --They also provided lighting and were super experienced and helpful when we had no idea how to pick what would look good in our venue --The online planning tool and regular email reminders were great tools to help us plan our music independently on our own time. --We didn’t book them for the ceremony, but I’m sure they would have done well. --We got uplighting from them and it looked great in the barn. They knew exactly where to put it and we didn’t even have to think about it. We trusted them and they delivered.

Steve was THE BEST DJ a bride could ask for. He was professional and laid back. He seemed to know exactly what my husband and I were looking for in terms of vibe - he was excellent at moving the night along naturally and matching the music with the mood. Steve totally went with the flow- communicating effectively and calmly with other vendors, moved between two booths seamlessly and without prior notice, not to mention he stayed late to keep the party going! Jordan also makes the wedding process as smooth as possible. His portal helps plan your ceremony and reception while giving you plenty of suggestions for “must-play” songs, parent dances, first dance songs, etc… At the wedding, he makes sure the ceremony and reception run smoothly through his promptness, his announcements, and his guest interactions. He isn’t corny or cheesy, but he will make sure everyone gets up dancing! We loved how thoughtful Jordan was through the entire event. He arrived early to the venue and even offered to help my dad and brother set up our chuppah. He checked in with us about 30 minutes before the end of the night to see if there were any last minute songs we still wanted to hear. And, when I put two musical songs on our cocktail hour/dinner playlist, he included some “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hanson” which made the night even more special and personalized. Maryland's DJ was a last-minute addition to our 50th birthday party and we are very glad we hired them! We had a lot of fun with the online song selection portal: we we able to choose 25 "must-play" songs, 25 additional requests, and up to 10 on a do-not-play list. The portal also had a place to put the projected schedule - cocktail hour, dancing, cake, etc. Ebi was great, very professional. For example, he chose just the right songs for before and after the cake.

Hiring vendors over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic was stressful but we could tell Steve would be perfect from our first video call. I couldn’t say enough good things about Maryland’s DJ. The entire process was simple. The first thing we did was a phone call with Jordan who was super sweet and really listened to what we wanted. I had known DJ Ryan Carr previously and found that he worked with Maryland’s DJ so I had asked if we could request him. Thankfully he was available and then a second call was set up for us to meet with the DJ and get a little more specific as to what we wanted. They also provide a website that you fill out timeline forms and music playlists at your pace. The website was really cool because we got to organize songs in categories such as must play, please try to play and absolutely do not play. This really helped solidify what vibes we wanted. Personally we picked maybe a total of 10 songs for this entire playlist as we wanted the DJ to do his thing. Come the wedding, DJ Ryan C and MC Rob were amazing! All of our family was dancing at some point and loved the energy they both brought. The MC was on the dance floor dancing with my cousins and really made the event such a good time. We also rented their photo booth which was an awesome addition. Everyone in the family loved this, including grandmoms! There is no doubt in my mind that I would book with them again for any event!

Working with Jesse was overall great and he helped us get our party started! Unfortunately, he was about 40 minutes late to the venue and switched up the order of songs, dances, and toasts. Other than that, once the night got going, everything went smoothly and we were the only ones who noticed. These things happen though, and we still had an amazing time! He did a great job of reading the crowd and selecting songs to keep our guests up and dancing. He was also checking in with us throughout the night to make sure we were having a good time, etc.

Our DJ, Brian, was incredible! He was very receptive to our wishes on our wedding day and made sure everything flowed perfectly. He excelled at making sure there was always open communication about what he needed from us and tailoring the song choices to our needs. The only issue we had with Maryland's DJ was that the backdrop we chose for our photo booth is not the one that arrived on our wedding day.
